<\/p>\n With a wrought-iron bed, Marie’s L’Oie Pillow-Top Mattresses, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, and a modern bathroom with a multi\u2011jet glass shower and upscale Le Labo toiletries, my guest room was also a beauty – but the large arched warehouse windows which showcased the St. Lawrence River were the stand-out feature for me! <\/p>\n Before leaving, I sat around a cozy fire pit with a watermelon martini in hand while gazing at the skyline rooftop terrace and explored the central Old Montreal just outside the door where I was just steps from the waterfront, lively caf\u00e9s, boutique shops, and Notre-Dame Basilica<\/a>.<\/p>\n My favorite highlights…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The rooftop terrace was the perfect spot to enjoy a Vieux-Port Sour \u2014 a velvety blend of local rye, fresh lemon, and a hint of maple syrup \u2014 while taking in the stunning views of the Saint Lawrence River!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n I couldn\u2019t help but fall for this design-forward hideaway\u2014set in a restored 18th-century building with only 10 uniquely designed modern rooms, it offered me a very intimate, highly personalized stay!<\/p>\n I adored its contemporary-chic look\u2014there were exposed stone walls, striking wood timber beams, driftwood tables, and retro-modern furniture that made the space feel intimate, stylish, and effortlessly upscale.<\/p>\n My guest room cleverly combined traditional and modern design complete with a cozy fireplace, a cushioned leather bed covered in crisp white linens, a flat-screen TV, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a trendy Nespresso coffee maker, and my favorite feature which were the striking floor-to-ceiling windows which overlooked the quaint, cobblestone streets below.<\/p>\n I started my mornings with a complimentary gourmet breakfast in the cozy stone-walled bistro, and my evenings ended with traditional Italian dishes on the hidden patio, all in a fabulous central Old Montreal was I was very near the waterfront, trendy restaurants, and gorgeous boutique shops!<\/p>\n My personal highlights…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n For me, this elegant Old Montreal boutique hotel was a real standout\u2014it was housed in a historic 19th-century building with charming character rooms and a fine rooftop terrace overlooking the city! <\/p>\n Inside, I discovered classic-meets-contemporary decor paying tasteful homage to celebrated Quebec poet \u00c9mile Nelligan, with framed portraits and his quotations on the walls, dark wood and red leather furnishings, and original century-old stone and exposed brick that made the space feel both romantic and nostalgic.<\/p>\n With a queen bed dressed in crips, white high-thread-count linens, an exposed brick accent wall, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, and a marble-accented bathroom, my guest room was gorgeous\u2014but the French windows opening to an elegant wrought-iron balcony personally stole the show for me!
